How to tell what skin tone you have? | Caribbeantan

Knowing your skin type is the first step in achieving the perfect tan. From there, all you need to do is choose the matching product, and BOOM – bronzed, here you come!

Caribbean-tan

Skin type A

Caribbean-tan

Do you get sunburnt quite easily? Are you one of those fair-skinned beauties who needs to slather themselves with SPF 100, even in the dead of winter? Are you closely acquainted with after-sun lotion? When you try to tan, do you often end up red, only to shed your glorious burnt layer a few days later?

If you answered yes to any (or all) or these questions, you are probably skin type A: light to fair.

Skin type B

Caribbean-tan

Do you sunburn in the summer months, but remain relatively unaffected by the sun in winter? When you expose yourself to the sun gradually, do you eventually achieve a delicious golden tan? Do you burn occasionally, but only if you haven’t taken the necessary precautions?

If you’re capable of tanning over time, or answered yes to any of those questions, you’re probably a skin type B (i.e. fair to medium complexion).

Skin type C

Caribbean-tan

Do you rarely get sunburnt, even when exposed to the sun for long periods of time? Does your skin maintain a medium to dark complexion, even in the cold, sunless months?

If you don’t know understand why some people prefer the shade, you are most likely medium to dark in skin tone, which is typical for skin type C.

That’s it – now you know your skin type! The next step is getting your bronze on, you beautiful babes.
